New Bloglink

A new link up on the right: Yup, the LEO Test blog is finally up. For those who know what I am talking about, this was a long time coming. Everyone, go check it out. Now. You will thank me later. Absolutely fascinating stuff.

I suppose this stuff is pretty arcane. Seems like you and Lisa are the only ones checking up on it. Granted, it is a young page, and very few know of its existence.
But then, this is also just the theoretical portion. The stuff people actually care about doesn't come 'til quite a bit later.

I think it's mainly because it's new. Wait until the news spread. And, as you said, the practical stuff comes later...

I look but I don't comment because, quite honestly, it is way over my head....

I went to check it out, but it's too dense for quick scanning at work: I need to have time to sit down to read it through. I noticed, though, that you didn't have an empirical section (or, that you hadn't broken it out that way)--does the idea of a 3-d planar manifold still appeal?

Oh, and if you need charts/graphs/etc hosted, lemme know, and I'll host them for you.

Jimdesu: Patience---I don't have it all up yet. I can't throw it up there all at once. Remember I have been working on this for over a year now. Without the theoretical side firmly established first, the empirical model will have no grounding. First came the observation of known ideologues and how their preferences suggest this model.
Second comes the critiques of existing models. Then comes the formal model itself, and possible interpretations whether 3-space, a 3d planar model or a 3d spatial model. Unfortunately the only sure way to settle which interpretation best fits is to gather enough data either from inventories or from text analysis.
After that comes individual applications: PotUS 2k4, a track of Kerry and Bush's records, Possibly the campaign rhetoric for Texas HR District 32...
Then comes the purposive sample of repondents to the Inventory compared with PotUS 2k4, with cases that suggest refinement of the model.

There is still so much to do...
