We're Baack!

We rolled in yesterday around four pm (plane touched down at three pm, but what with immigration control and customs and waiting for luggage it took a while to get out of the airport). The Lizard Queen picked us up and took us home to four cats and a house that she kept meticulously clean for us; the LQ rocks...we stayed up as we normally would to get used to the time difference easier (even though I fell asleep on the couch around nine pm as the rest of the gang watched a movie).

So we're back with a ton of pics, memories, most of my old tapes, significant amount of booze, and seven boxes of books on the way on slow boat. We'll post some pictures later, now I gota go and have me some freshly backed Hungarian pogacsa and other goodies I made for New Years.

Happy New Year to all!

Off to Hungary

Well, this is it...tomorrow afternoon we are leavin' for my homeland to spend Christmas with my family and friends...so blogging, if any, should be light. The Husband is planing on bringing the laptop and there are quite a few hotspots around downtown Pest by now (handy map available on caboodle.hu), so we might be online briefly a couple of times. My family is VERY non-wired, so they do not have Internet access except one cousin. My dad would like it, but scared of the technology--besides, Internet prices in Hungary are obscenely high compared to wages and earnings (at least they were a couple of years ago, I am not sure how that changed).

So: I wish y'all a Blessed rest of Advent and Christmas!
